ARATA MIZUNASHI (ミズナシ • アラタ MIZUNASHI ARATA) is an Observer who created the ''Glitch Girls''. He physically resembles and is named after Arata Mizunashi. He appears in Death end re;Quest: Code Z as the main antagonist.

Appearance

ARATA is modeled after Arata Mizunashi from Death end re;Quest. His hair is colored with streaks of black and white. He wears round yellow tinted glasses, a black tracksuit with boots, and a green jacket around his arms. In his right hand he holds a laptop that has a mysterious eye symbol on the lid and a pendant on a string, wrapped around his index finger, that is plugged into the laptop itself. He wears two rings on each hand, his right has them on his middle and pinky fingers, and his left on his index and middle fingers.

In his base sprite, ARATA is depicted with a crazed smile and look on his face.

History

On his page on the Death end re;Quest section of Compile Heart's website, X writes:

"A mysterious figure who goes by the name ARATA MIZUNASHI.

It'd be improper to say too much about him just yet.

He created the Glitch Girls, and he schemes to destroy the world.

His true identity and goals remain unclear, but beneath his carefree facade, he hides a deep, burning rage. A dangerous man who doesn't pull his punches, approach with extreme caution!

He seemingly was in love with a mysterious character (Paraninas), but was rejected harshly and now holds a grudge. He believes that using the Glitch Girls will be a way to get back at them.

He also has his sights on Sayaka Hiwatari, aiming to exploit her special powers."

ARATA is implied by Paraninas to be a version of Arata Mizunashi during the events of Death end re;Quest, who she convinces to give up and turn evil.
