Enigma Games is a company introduced in Death end re;Quest, reappearing in Death end re;Quest 2 through flashbacks and it's epilogue, and also returning in Death end re;Quest: Code Z as a plot point.
Death end re;Quest[]
Enigma Games is the company that the two protagonists Shina Ninomiya and Arata Mizunashi work at. It serves as a good chunk of the visual novel sections with Arata before him and the other works get moved over to Summer Life.
Arata was on a team with Shina developing a Virtual Reality MMORPG named "World's Odyssey". Shina, serving as the director of this project, disappeared roughly a year ago; between this and extremely difficult glitches emerging, Aggle Inc. froze their funding for the project, causing it to be cancelled. Shina's disappearance has weighted on Arata's mind since.
Enigma Games was blamed for a worldwide cyber terrorism attack after cell phones, TVs and computers began to display an image of World's Odyssey login screen and that the command hub that initiated the hack was on Enigma's servers, Detective Senji Hizumi took Arata to the police station for interrogation since he is also a suspect, after some time passes CEO of Enigma, Werner Glock helps Arata escape by giving him instructions through Senji's phone. They later find out that Aggle Inc. initiated the attack and tried to frame Enigma for it.
Mr. Enigma is the company's mascot and is the avatar Arata uses to access the World's Odyssey servers.
Death end re;Quest 2[]
Enigma Games is briefly mentioned in the intro of Death end re;Quest 2 where it is mentioned Mai Toyama broke into their servers to find World's Odyssey. She's been interested in Enigma ever since and wanted to work there.
In the epilogue after you have gotten the true ending and Mai uses the World's Key to degrade the world, Enigma Games has successfully launched World's Odyssey, Mai Toyama also gets introduced by Rin Asukaze as a new employee, a programmer working directly under Arata Mizunashi.
