Heaven's Messenger is a boss introduced in Death end re;Quest, Heaven's Messenger later reappears in Death end re;Quest 2's Pain Area.
Death end re;Quest[]
Shina first learns about Heaven's Messenger from Rook the merchant, he explains that World's Odyssey has been infested by the ''Entoma Scourge'' which has plagued World's Odyssey one year prior due to a terrifying beast known as ''Heaven's Messenger'' until its body spontaneously shattered. The survivors deemed it a miracle from the heavens and continued on with their lives until the "Mass Consternation" several months later. Inexplicable events, such as people evaporating and mass suicides, were happening all around World's Odyssey thanks to mysterious objects called the Entoma; Rook points out that Shina's spider legs are one such object. Rook refers to the casualties as martyrs, "suffering for the sake of avoiding retribution"; since they are believed to be possessing monsters, those monsters are also called Martyrs.
You later encounter Heaven's Messenger in Mystical Sky Capital, Odyssia at the end of Chapter 10 commanded by Victor Tailman, defeating Heaven's Messenger triggers a scene, gives you the Genre: Action x1 Battle Jack and concludes Chapter 10.
Death Ends[]
- Perfect Ending: If you lose to Heaven's Messenger you'll trigger a Death End where Shina accepts her fate as she passes away
Death end re;Quest 2[]
Heaven's Messenger reappears in the third level of the Pain Area of Death end re;Quest 2 which can be accessed in New Game+ by interacting with the phone booth with Mai, Rotten and Liliana in the party. Heaven's Messenger in this game has been significantly buffed up to match the difficulty of the Pain Area, although he is still a massive pushover. Heaven's Messenger keeps his name in this game the same, which is unique to him as a returning boss. Defeating Heaven's Messenger gives access to the fourth floor.
