Koji Toyama (東山鋼二 Toyama Koji) is a character who briefly appears in the first scene of Death end re;Quest 2 but doesn't get a name and a proper design until Death end re;Quest: Code Z.
Death end re;Quest 2[]
In this game Koji is not named and you can only briefly see his eyes in a CG. He abuses his daughter ''Mai Toyama'' while being home after extensively drinking. Koji's abuse made it so that Mai has grown a fear of men in general, despite this he still gifted her a laptop which allowed her to break into the World's Odyssey servers.
One day, after drinking and getting drunk, he got so angry at his own daughter that he tried to kill her ultimately leading to Mai acting in self defense and killing her own father. Mai later in the game recounts this event as a painful moment in her life.
Death end re;Quest: Code Z[]
He is the father of ''Mai Toyama'' and ''Sanae Toyama''. A man who persuaded his wife, a painter, to marry him by saying ''I'm a designer myself!''
Unlike his wife, who specializes in abstract paintings, he specializes in two-dimensional beautiful girls. After the company he worked for went bankrupt, he lost his energy and became a lazy person who lives seperately from his entire family.
However, it does not appear that he has been abandoned by his family, as Mai Toyama has been a great help to him in getting to join ''Iris Corporation''. He is not a much abandoned by his family as he is shunned by Mai Toyama. Apparently Mai once tried to kill him.
He is as rough as he looks, but he is kind to anyone who pampers him. I am glad it was both easy for Iris and Sayaka to figure out how to deal with him.
