Mr. Enigma is a supporting character in Death end re;Quest, he does not reappear in full but is subtly referenced in Death end re;Quest 2 and Death end re;Quest: Code Z.

Death end re;Quest

Mr. Enigma serves as the mascot for the game company Enigma Games, he is a small orange bear-like being with an antenna on his head which changes to match his expression (when he's shocked, it becomes a exclamation point.)

Arata Mizunashi logs into World's Odyssey as Mr. Enigma after finding his co-worker, Shina Ninomiya in the game, who went missing around a year prior, to aid her and the party better from that point onward, although he conceals his personality to the party and they only know him as Mr. Enigma. Lucil Filarete especially finds Enigma to be adorable. Players are only able to take control of Mr. Enigma in gameplay in camps where you can speak to the different party members.

One of the main antagonists of this game, Victor Tailman hijacks Mr. Enigma in Chapter 10 to influence the party's actions, a bit later he hacks Celica Clayton's personality and makes her kill the party until she is dispatched by Clea Glaive who dies along with Celica. It is later revealed outside the Aggle headquarters that despite dying in the game they are actually still alive.

In the ''normal'' ending of Death end re;Quest you'll take control of Mr. Enigma in Odyssia after Arata is regaining his memories from previous degrades, there he finds a letter left by himself, in the letter the other Arata explains the degrade to him and how he has failed many times, he also vaguely explains to him how to get the degrade working. A few moments later Arata performs the degrade, making it so the timeline goes through another loop.

Death end re;Quest 2

Despite not appearing in Death end re;Quest 2 as a character, Mr. Enigma can be seen in backgrounds as decoration of certain rooms in Le Choara.

Death end re;Quest: Code Z

Despite not appearing in Death end re;Quest: Code Z as a character, Mr. Enigma appears in several backgrounds once again.

Trivia

• He makes a small cameo in the Death End Attire 1 and Death End Attire 2 DLC for Mary Skelter 2, which returns in Mary Skelter: Finale being a badge on Otsuu's outfit which is based on Arata Mizunashi and a cosmetic on Alice's outfit which is based around real world Shina's outfit.
• He also makes a small cameo being on Magical Girl Lydia's render in Mega Miracle Force aswell as on Christimas Shina's, being in the gift bag.
