Naraku Morikubo (モリクボ • ナラク Morikubo Naraku) is a ''Glitch Girl'' based on data of Al Astra created by ''ARATA MIZUNASHI'' appearing in Death end re;Quest: Code Z.

History

Another of ARATA MIZUNASHI's hastily created Ludens.

She was created based off a recent deceased idol and her memories of her past. Though the body was supposedly in pieces... perhaps Eni helped reconstruct it.

Naraku is cold, blunt, and sharp-tongued. She harbors overwhelming sadness deep inside. The brightness from her idol days is completely gone. You'd think after coming back to life, she could be a bit more cheerful.

Fascinated by analyzing the logic behind tragic deaths, she supports ARATA MIZUNASHI's rampage. Her motives make her a terrifying foe for Sayaka.

Unlike Al Astra who is missing the emotion ''sadness'', it seems that Naraku Morikubo is completely swallowed by sadness.

Etymology

The word "Naraku" is derived from the Sanskrit language, "Naraka", which bears the same meaning as Naraku in Indian religions. In Buddhism, Naraka is afterlife similar to Hell although it is never an eternal punishment for sinners within it, but very evil souls would spend thousands or even millions years there to suffer for their sins. In Japanese, the word Naraku (奈落) is also used as an alternate spelling of hell (地獄 Jigoku), and it is also sometimes used to mean "Hades", which is the underworld in Greek mythology.
