Sayaka Hiwatari (火渡さや香 Hiwatari Sayaka) is the female Luden protagonist of Death end re;Quest: Code Z. She is the debugger of End to Odyssey and currently lives with her director Shina Ninomiya.

Abilities

Vanquish Style

Unlike regular adepts who have ''Glitch Mode'', Sayaka can make use of her unique state''Vanquish Style''.

When the ''Vanquish Point Gauge (VP Gauge)'' at the top of the screen reaches MAX, Sayaka will be able to transform into the powerful ''Vanquish Style''. While in Vanquish Style, not only will her attack power greatly increase, but, all status ailments are disabled. Also, even if you receive damage that reduces your HP to 0, you can still stand once. When you activate Vanquish Style, your VP gauge will begin to decrease, and when it reaches 0, your transformation will be canceled. The timing at which you activate your transformation is also an important point.

Reason

As your rationality value decreases, the information displayed on the minimap will be gradually limited. Traps, items, stairs and enemies that you would have found will no longer be displayed, and your field of vision will become narrower. Decrease in value is a factor that brings you closer to death.

When rationality falls below 20%, ''self-harm'' occurs, in which Sayaka injures herself. The lower the rationality, the higher the incidence of self-harm, and it is even possible to die from self-injury

Since your rationality can be recovered using the special item ''Ether Code,'' knowing when to use limited items is an important key to survival in the dungeon.

History

Before working at Iris Corporation she remained unemployed for a long time and she simply followed the rules and fought. She is believed to be the Luden ''Ripuka'' that got taken to the Strain Area, where she then awakened to her sense of self due to someones intervention (Possibly Arata Mizunashi, similarly to the Ripuka ending in her DLC) After she got awakened and took on the role as Sayaka Hiwatari she took up residence with Shina who grew a big liking to her. Due to her unemployment Shina decided to invite Sayaka to her workplace, a game company. She is very happy about her working life. Her current position is to debug a new game called ''End to Odyssey''

She's a bit of an otaku, and seems to love play-testing the game she's involved with, which makes it all worth it for her. While continuing to debug their own products, they encounter a ''mysterious phenomenon'' that distorts the common sense of the world, and they end up fighting a threat that aims for the entire world.
