Shopping District

The Shopping District is an area from Death end re;Quest 2 in Le Choara south of the Women's Dormitory area that the party first visits briefly in Chapter 3, you later come back to the area in Chapter 6. The track that plays here is Heart & Soul.

Shopping District

The party first travels through the Shopping District in Chapter 3 after Mai has gotten the map of Le Choara from Iris, which had a specific point highlighted on it. She travels there in the hopes of finding clues surrounding Le Choara and her missing little sister, Sanae. You go through the Shopping District to reach the Mountain Path area.

You revisit the area in Chapter 6 after Mai and the party try to go to the Shopping District to help Shina find signal to call someone outside of town to aid her, while searching for a signal in the Shopping District Mai comes across a severed arm on a chair, the arm was holding a piece of paper which Shina extracts from the arm, Shina comments that it resembles a password, she begins to worry that the arm belonged to the person she's been searching for, Arata Mizunashi but Mai reassures her there is no garantue that it belonged to him. After not being able to find any signal they decide to head back to Wordsworth Dormitory.

Later when they head out again to find an exit, Elizabeth Paris and Mercy Lewis, who have been watching them previously too have plotted to follow them to escape town aswell. After traveling through the area for a while they notice Shina has been acting off, after being questioned she explains how Rotten's mother, Midra has assaulted her for not obeying her, which left her severely traumatized, she also tells Shina that the person she was looking for, Arata Mizunashi might already be dead. Rotten is in denial over that her mother would commit such an act. You then see a scene that depicts Elizabeth and Mercy listening in again. The party travels a bit more to discover a giant AR wall blocking the exit. As they look at it, a group of hooded people travel through the wall into town. If Mai approaches them to talk to them by selecing the ''Call out.'' option, a massive group of them suddenly arrive and join the others and surround Mai. The other three run in, telling her she was stupid to have gone up to them, which just leads to the large group kidnapping all four of them. They take the hostages to the Mountain Path area and tie them to poles, then leave. A group of monsters then arrive and kill them. If you "Keep quiet and watch.'' the hooded individuals go away, Shina shortly after recieves a signal upon which the player can choose five of the Death end re;Quest party members to send it to: Lily, Al, Clea, Lucil and Celica. After they try to investigate the distortion in the wall, they notice it's closed up and at the same time Shina's signal dissapears. Before they can head back a group of monsters approaches them, you have to fight five waves, however if you run away instead of fighting Elizabeth and Mercy will both die, a scene plays depicting their gruesome death at the hand of the monsters and you won't be able to talk to them anymore in the Dormitory. After clearing the first wave Mai gets a vision of her slaughtering many townspeople, she is seemingly horried by the sight. Once you cleared all the waves the party notices Elizabeth and Mercy and safely returns them to Dormitory, Chapter 6 ends shortly after.
