Sumika Towika (常盤 すみか Tokiwa Sumika) is a self-taught programmer who works at Enigma Games. As soon as she discovers that Shina Ninomiya is stuck inside World's Odyssey, she teams up with Arata Mizunashi to save her. She fanatically studies the occult and is surprisingly fluid in several dead languages.
Death Ends[]
- In Chapter 4, if Arata Mizunashi attempts to fool his kidnappers, they dump him at the shrine. Believing that he has been left for dead, he returns to Summer Life and reunites with Sumika, but his kidnappers emerge and reveal that they were tailing him. As they prepare to stab Arata, Sumika jumps on top of him and is stabbed in his place. Sumika is stabbed over and over again, during which Arata caves and tells his kidnappers about "IRIS" in an attempt to spare Sumika's life; they ignore him and continue to stab her to death.
Etymology[]
- Sumika's surname Tokiwa means "always, ever, usual, ordinary, normal, regular" (常) (toki) and "board, record/phonograph record, tray, shallow bowl, platter, tub" (盤) (wa).
